DNA Results Confirm Driver In DUI Crash: Police

Bail was set at $250,000 for Christopher K. Huber, 28, who was arrested in connection with a March DUI crash.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — Police said DNA test results confirmed that a 28-year-old Crystal Lake man, who claimed he wasn't behind the wheel in a DUI crash that injured a passenger, was in fact driving, the Northwest Herald is reporting. Christopher K. Huber was arrested Thursday on an aggravated driving under the influence and aggravated reckless driving charge in connection with the March 1 one-vehicle rollover crash on Randall Road in Crystal Lake.

The car was traveling at 103 mph and a passenger in the car was ejected and injured, according to the article. Police say DNA test results from samples taken from the driver-side airbag of Huber's car showed Huber was in the driver's seat.

Huber is next expected in court on Tuesday. He remained in custody at the McHenry County Jail as of Saturday on a $250,000 bail, according to online jail records.
