Dole Welcomes Residents 'Home for the Holidays'

Christmas at the was bustling with holiday cheer, kicking off on Friday night with "Home for the Holidays Cocktail Reception and Raffle."

One of the highlights was the tree lighting by Village of Lakewood President Erin Smith. She mentioned how the Dole Mansion was a "special asset in our community."

Mayor Aaron Shepley started off with, "I just want to say how much I love this place. This is a tremendous building."

There were vignette performances in the Dole and Sage Galleries by: McHenry County Music Center's Libero String Quartet, Together Again Duet, Marian Central Madrigals, Berkshire Ballet Theatre and the Starr Dancers, resident companies of the Summers Academy of Dance, Martin Lopez Four Strings Attached and Lakeside Legacy Foundation Resident Partner Musicians, Roger Reupert and Evan Swanson.
