Dorothy Ann Cooker (nee Voras), 71 of Cary

Dorothy Ann Cooker (nee Voras), 71, of Cary, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, at her home in Cary, surrounded by her loving family. 

Dorothy was born Oct. 23, 1940 in Palatine, Ill. to Clarence and Alice (nee Holtzee) Voras.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Cooker, loving mother of Geoffrey (Kathleen) Cooker, and Laurinda (James Burke) Cooker, dear grandmother of Emily Cooker, John Burke, and Matthew Burke, cherished sister of Betty (Roger) Paldauf, Elaine (Rich) Bickham, and Fred (Nancy) Voras.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Glen Voras.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake, 461 Pierson St., Crystal Lake. The Rev. Dr. Arn Schaper will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First Congregational Church of Crystal Lake in Dorothy's name would be appreciated.
