Downtown Pedestrian Safety Improvements Underway

Exciting news in Downtown Cary! Our latest safety improvement is underway with the widening of the sidewalk on W. Main Street between Jandus Road and Spring Street.

This will shorten the length of the crosswalk to improve safety for commuters and other pedestrians. The additional sidewalk area will also provide more space to sit and enjoy our historic downtown. Work is expected to continue for the next 3-4 weeks and be completed in September.
