Drive Safe: Dense Fog Advisory Issued Tuesday Morning for Chicago Area

A dense fog advisory has been issued for counties throughout the Chicago area.

A dense fog advisory has been issued for the Chicago area through 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Visibility will be reduced to one-quarter mile or less in some areas, which will make driving difficult, according to the National Weather Service. Visibility will be better in other areas, including across more urban areas of Cook County.

In addition, temperatures near freezing may result in fog freezing on roads and creating slick conditions. Temperatures will rise to above freezing later this morning.
