UPDATE: Crystal Lake Woman Who Crashed into House Dies
Lori Berg Ruzbasan, who drove into a Crystal Lake home on Thursday due to a suspected medical condition, passed away Sunday.
UPDATE SUNDAY, APRIL 7:
Lori Berg Ruzbasan, 49, of Crystal Lake passed away on Sunday, April 7, according to friends.
Ruzbasan is believed to have suffered a medical condition on Thursday, during which time she lost control of her minivan and crashed into the garage portion of a home at 1417 Tanglewood Drive in Crystal Lake, police said.

Ruzbasan was listed in critical condition on Thursday night after being taken to Centegra Hopsital in Woodstock, the Northwest Herald reported.
Since then, friends and family having been hoping and praying for her recovery.

She is listed as a first grade teacher for St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School, 265 King St., Crystal Lake. Ruzbasan leaves behind a husband and three teenage children.

The driver of Mercedes-Benz minivan was transported to an area hospital on Thursday after she drove through the garage door of a home at 1417 Tanglewood Dr., Crystal Lake.
Lori Ruzbasan, 49, of Crystal Lake, apparently lost control of the van at 9:25 a.m. April 4, and crashed into the garage of the two-story house, located at the corner of Willow Tree and Tanglewood drives across from Woodscreek Park, according to Crystal Lake Police Cmdr. Dan Dziewior.
The van crashed into the garage and partially out its back wall, Dziewior stated in a press release.Â
Ruzbasan was transported to an area hospital for evaluation and treatment, he said.Â
The homeowner was inside the house at the time of the crash, but was not injured. The home was inspected by the Crystal Lake Building Department and representatives from public utilities, and was deemed safe to occupy, Dziewior said.
Alcohol and/or otherwise impaired driving is not suspected in this traffic crash. However, Crystal Lake Police continue to investigate the cause, Dziewior said.
It is believed Ruzbasan may have experienced a medical condition, which either caused or contributed to this crash. At this time, no citations have been issued, he said.
