Drug Dealer Arrested, $15K Worth of LSD, Weed Seized: Police

Authorities searched Edward Ramirez's McHenry home on Tuesday and took the 20-year-old into custody on several drug charges.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL -- A 20-year-old McHenry man faces several drug charges after authorities searched his home Tuesday and turned up LSD, cocaine and marijuana, police said. Edward M. Ramirez, of the 3200 block of Cherry Avenue, is being held on no bond. He is charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful delivery of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Task Force launched an investigation into Ramirez after receiving several complaints from residents regarding drug deals happening at Ramirez's McHenry home and at other locations in Island Lake, according to a sheriff's office news release.

Detectives searched Ramirez's home Tuesday and seized 76 tabs of LSD, 705.85 grams of cannabis,less than a gram of cocaine, $510, packaging materials and a scale. The estimated street value of the narcotics found in his home is about $15,000, police said.

Ramirez is next expected in court on Wednesday.
