Elderly Woman Injured In Jewel-Osco Lot Hit-And-Run
Authorities in Cary are asking for the public's help in tracking down a woman accused in the weekend hit-and-run.

CARY, IL – Authorities are asking for the public's help in tracking down a woman accused of striking a 72-year-old with her SUV and then driving away Saturday afternoon in Cary, police said. The hit-and-run occurred in the Jewel-Osco parking lot, 696 Northwest Highway in Cary, at about 4 p.m. The pedestrian hit by the vehicle was taken to Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to a news release from the Cary Police Department.
A family member told Patch the pedestrian was a 72-year-old woman.
The hit-and-run driver is described as a white woman in her 60s with long, sandy hair and glasses, according to the news release. She was driving a Jeep SUV with a license plate similar to that of a33306.

She left the parking lot following the crash, heading west on Route 14, police said.
