Ethel A. Bonkoski, 98, Longtime Crystal Lake Resident
The visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake. There will be a time of sharing at 11 a.m.

Ethel A. Bonkoski, 98, of Crystal Lake passed away March 24, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Carpentersville to Albert and Ella (Mugge) Young. On June 1, 1946 she married Edward Bonkoski in Algonquin.
She was a devote member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. She was passionate toward helping with the family farm and antique store in Union. She was a supporter of numerous charitable causes including local food banks, aid to veterans, the Salvation Army, and UNICEF.

She enjoyed the activities of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and was a die-hard Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and White Sox fan.
She is survived by her daughters, June (Robert) Stoudt and Susan (Ronald) Hansing; daughter-in-law, Christine Bonkoski; grandchildren, Kurt Stoudt, Kristin (Lincoln) Hill, Cary Hansing, Kevin Hansing, and Nicole (Scott) Foss; and great-grandchildren, Robert, Taylor, and Jackson Hill.

She was an aunt and cousin to many throughout Crystal Lake and the surrounding area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; her parents; her son, Richard Bonkoski; and her siblings, Viola Smith, Roy Young, and Albert Young.
The visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake. There will be a time of sharing at 11 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a graveside service at Crystal Lake Union Cemetery.
