Female Water Polo Player Speaks Out About Sexual Assault in Pool in ESPN Report

A former female player on the McHenry boys water polo team will be featured in a “disturbing report” Sunday morning on ESPN regarding allegations she was sexually assaulted under the water by a male opponent during a game last year, according to ESPN.com.
Rebecca Dabrowski, 19, will appear in a segment of "Outside the Lines," which airs at 8 a.m. on Sunday. The Northwest Herald reports that sources said Dabrowski was sexually assaulted during a playoff game against Libertyville on May 15, 2015.

“It was awful. I felt like everyone was staring at me and that everyone was going to judge me,” said Dabrowski in a video preview on ESPN’s website. “It was just probably one of the worst days of my life.”

Dabrowski currently plays water polo for Monmouth College.
