Free Clinic Ready to Help Hundreds!

Crystal Lake, IL, Sept 19, 2016 – Immanuel Ministries brings people and services together at Free Clinic, a gift to our community. A well established Missouri Synod Lutheran Congregation, Immanuel Lutheran Church has been serving people in Crystal Lake since Dec. of 1870. “The Clinic” is open to the public. Medical screenings, hair salon services, lunch; clothing, kid’s activities, and a food truck are all available at no charge. Coordinated efforts and volunteers come from many organizations to provide for personal needs that may otherwise go untreated.

Last year, “The Clinic” hosted more than 300 people. “The objective here is simply people helping people right here at home,” states Bob Dorn, Director of Outreach for Immanuel. In addition to medical services, a Personal Services Exposition will be on site with representatives from other helping organizations like Samaritan Counseling, Project Head Start, and Informed Choices.

At “The Clinic” all medical screenings are provided by licensed medical professionals from places like Advocate Health Care, Centegra Health Systems, and the Greater Elgin Family Care Clinic. Pediatric wellness checks will be provided along with medical, dental, vision, chiropractic and hearing screenings. The Crystal Lake Lions Club will be on site with their “Hearing Bus” to assist with Audiology Screenings and Rental Photography.

“The Clinic” is to take place on Saturday, October 15th, 2014 with doors opening at 10:00am. Guest are urged to come early to register for the services they wish to receive, appointments fill up quickly.
