Free Luminaria Walk At Veteran Acres Park
The walks will be held nightly Dec. 1 through Dec. 4 act Veteran Acre Park in Crystal Lake.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The Crystal Lake Park District will be hosting a free luminaria walk at Veteran Acres Park in Crystal Lake starting on Wednesday and continuing through Saturday.
The walks will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 1 to 3 and from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 4. On Saturday, visitors can walk the trail and enjoy campfires, cookies, Encore Music Academy Carolers, hot cocoa and a candy cane forest.
The 3/4-mile trail is a mixture of pavement, gravel and grassy surfaces and will be lit up for walkers to enjoy a December night under the stars, according to a park district news release.

The event is free and advanced registration is not required. Donations of $1 per person or a $5 maximum per family are appreciated and will be used to fund future Nature Center programs and outdoor education programs.
