Gregory Boyd the Blues, Rock Electric Steel Drummer comes to Crystal Lake, and Chicago Illinois bringing his signature Electric Steelpan sound to perform several engagements in the area. The Great Lakes Steelpan Festival, Chicago Blues Spot Reggies Live in addition to a special performance for The United States Veterans Administration will all host Boyd in several engaging arrangements. Gregory Boyd born in Milwaukee Wisconsin, started his musical journey as a child honing his chops in New Orleans Louisiana with the likes of Grammy Award winners Cyril Neville, Charles Neville, Michael Ray and Jon Cleary has taken his unique Steelpan and Blues concept all over Europe, New Orleans, Los Angeles and now to sweet home Chicago. Gregory has been making this unique band and sound happen since the early 90’s when Boyd decided to make a new style of music, while working as a sideman and bandleader in New Orleans Louisiana. Calling his new music ’World Groove’ and donning his signature Electric Steelpan Drums, he began to Rock a career that has spanned 25+ years. Gregory Boyd now lives in Europe churning and burning with a schedule that includes performances, tours and special guest performances in Europe, Japan and has recently acquired an American artist management deal that will help secure Boyd a position in the American market.

Gregory Boyd is preparing to release an EP for 2016 which will be used to further his work in the US and Globally. In addition to profit ventures Gregory continues to work with ’not for profit’ concerns, such as Mission East, the Danish international relief concern, where he plans to release one of his EP songs to support the Mission East Goal of person to person global disaster relief and support.
