Harvard Woman Arrested on Several Drug Charges

Police conducted a search of a home in the 100 block of South Division Street last week.

A 23-year-old Harvard woman has been arrested on several drug charges following an investigation by local police.

Tiyania B. Pool is being held on a $100,000 bond following her arrest last week on charges of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, endangering the life of a child and unlawful possession of marijuana, according to a McHenry County Sheriff’s Office press release.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force, which includes members of the Lake in the Hills Police Department; the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team; and members of the Harvard Police Department served a search warrant on July 15 on a residence in the 100 block of South Division Street in Harvard. The search warrant was a culmination of an investigation that was begun after receiving multiple tips from the community concerned about possible criminal activity, police said.

During the search, Pool, who was one of the three residents in the home, was arrested. Detectives notified the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services when two young juveniles were located in the residence. Detectives seized approximately 2.5 grams of cannabis, 2.5 grams of crack cocaine, two digital scales, packaging materials, and an item of drug paraphernalia during the search. Detectives estimate the street value of the drugs to be approximately $300.
