Harvest Hustle 5K to Close Roads in Algonquin on Saturday
Motorists are advised of various road closures beginning at 6 a.m. on October 1.

ALGONQUIN, IL - The Harvest Hustle 5K Run/Walk will be held on Saturday, October 1. Motorists are advised of various road closures beginning at 6 a.m. on October 1, according to a news release.
Those road closures include:
- South Main Street: South Main Street will be closed between Algonquin Road and Washington Street from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Businesses on Main Street will be open during the event.
- North Main Street: North Main Street will be closed between Illinois Route 31 (Western Bypass) and Algonquin Road from 7:45 a.m. to approximately 8:15 a.m.
Detour Route
Thru traffic is advised to use Illinois Route 31 (Western Bypass) and Algonquin Road when travelling in the area. Please note that there will be intermittent traffic stoppages on Algonquin Road at Main Street and Harrison Street between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. All local roads will be opened to traffic upon the conclusion of the event.

Parking
Event parking is available at Historic Village Hall, 2 South Main Street (enter off Algonquin Road), the municipal lot at the corner of Harrison Street and Washington Street, Towne Park, and various on-street locations. Motorists are advised to remain alert for event participants and follow all traffic detour information.
