Husband Killed After Crash Into Tree; Wife Airlifted to Hospital

MCHENRY, IL - A 35-year-old McHenry man is dead and his wife seriously injured following a single-vehicle crash Monday night in McHenry.

Cainen Reimann was taken to Centegra Medical Center in McHenry following the crash, which happened in the 2000 block of Illinois Route 120 at about 6:29 p.m. He was pronounced dead about an hour later in the emergency room, according to a McHenry County Coroner’s Office press release.

The crash happened when a vehicle traveling east on Route 120 left the roadway and struck a tree. Reimann was driving the vehicle and his wife, Kaylan Reimann, was a passenger in the vehicle. She was airlifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center and her condition is unknown at this time.

The McHenry County Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash. No further details are known at this time.

The McHenry County Sheriff's Office closed Route 120 between Chapel Hill and Lily Lake Road following the crash.
