Juvenile Stabbed, Marijuana And Cash Stolen In Crystal Lake Robbery
Two teens have been charged in connection with the stabbing and robbery this past week in Crystal Lake.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – A juvenile was stabbed following a fight with three males Tuesday evening in Crystal Lake and the suspects got away with $400 in cash from the victim, his wallet and some marijuana, police said. The incident took place at about 5 p.m. on Sept. 26 after the victim got into a car with the three males in the 200 block of Ridge Avenue. The altercation followed with one of the suspects displaying a knife while trying to rob the male juvenile victim.
The victim struggled with the suspects as he tried to get out of the vehicle. He was then stabbed and his belongings, including the cash and the marijuana, were stolen. The victim suffered minor injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to authorities.
During their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Armando Masegosa, 18, of 216 Hickory Drive in Crystal Lake. On Wednesday, Masegosa was taken into custody and charged with aggravated battery/deadly weapon, armed robbery and aggravated battery/public place. He is being held on a $100,000 bond and is next expected in court on Oct. 2.

Police have also charged a juvenile with armed robbery for his alleged role in the Tuesday stabbing and robbery. He was taken to the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center in St. Charles where he remains in custody pending a hearing in juvenile court.

The third male in the vehicle at the time of the altercation has not been charged, police said.
