The Crystal Lake Park District Lake Discovery Day is back for its’ third year at a new West Beach location with new activities for fun and learning for the entire family. Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 12, Noon-4 pm at Crystal Lake West Beach, 2330 Lake Avenue, Crystal Lake. Admission is free. Parking is limited at West Beach. A shuttle will be available to transport from the Main Beach parking lot (300 Lakeshore Drive) to West Beach, Nooon-4 pm.
Highlights of the Crystal Lake Park District Lake Discovery Day include: Kids Fishing Derby (1-3 pm, prizes from 3:30 pm), demos by the Crystal Lake Rowing Club and others, Rain Gutter Regatta, games for kids and information exhibits. Kids Fishing Derby: Bait, prizes and a limited number of fishing poles provided. Anyone ages 16+ must have a current Illinois Fishing License.
