The brush pickup will begin on Monday, village officials said.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The village will offer a one-time curbside brush pickup of private tree debris beginning early Monday morning, according to village officials.

All private storm-related tree debris must be placed at the curb by Sunday evening to be included in the pickup.

The collection will begin on the east side of the village and will head west through the week. The collection is expected to take several days, according to the village.

Crews will use two chippers to conduct one pass through the village for private brush pickup. Residents should move tree limbs and branches off of private property onto the curb or to the side of the street by Sunday evening to ensure collection during the week.

Small twigs and leaves are considered yard waste and should be bagged or bundled and placed out at the curb for pickup during your regularly scheduled garbage day. Large logs and stumps should be cut into pieces that are not too large or too heavy for crews to carry.

Residents with questions can call the public works department at at 847-960-7500.
