Local Robotics Teams Advance to State Championship

The town of Cary advanced two First Tech Challenge Robotics teams to state championships

The town of Cary advanced two First Tech Challenge Robotics teams to state championships, which will take place at Elgin Community College on March 2, 2024, from 8:15 to 4 p.m. Both Golden Ratio Robotics and Code Blue won top spots at their league tournament, allowing them to move to the next level of competition. The Golden Ratio (representing Cary Grove High School, Woodstock North High School, and a Home School) was on the winning team alliance and won the Control Award, while Code Blue (Cary Grove High School) won the Connect award. The teams were judged on robot competition, design, documentation, and community outreach.
