BB Gun Used In Robbery Near Woodstock
The incident occurred Friday morning in unincorporated Woodstock.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – A 21-year-old Woodstock man is accused of using a BB gun to rob a 55-year-old Woodstock man on Friday morning, police said. Jacob Hawley is now charged with aggravated robbery and residential burglary following the Friday in the 13000 block of South Street Road in unincorporated Woodstock.
Authorities launched an investigation into the incident after a 55-year-old Woodstock man flagged down a McHenry County Sheriff's Office supervisor on Friday morning and told him he had just been robbed at gunpoint, according to a news release from the McHenry Co. Sheriff's Office.
Police found Hawley a short time later and took him into custody. Deputies found a black BB handgun, along with stolen property, on Hawley at the time he was arrested, police said.

Hawley is next expected in court on July 10.
