Man Accused Of Attacking 2 With Skateboard In Crystal Lake

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 28-year-old man faces several felony charges in connection with allegations he beat two people with a skateboard in Crystal Lake earlier this week.

Brandon M. Brown was arrested on Thursday morning in the 200 block of Hillside Terrace in unincorporated Cary following the attack, authorities said. Brown is accused of using a skateboard to hit two people in the head multiple times, according to a news release from the Crystal Lake Police Department.

Police say they were called to the scene of the attack at about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday. The victims knew Brown, but police did not specify Friday how they all knew each other.

Brown has been charged with two counts of aggravated domestic battery, two counts of aggravated battery - use of a deadly weapon and aggravated battery - use of a deadly weapon in connection with the attack, according to a news release. He is currently being held at the McHenry County Jail.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident, and anyone with information regarding the attack is asked to call the Crystal Lake Police Department at 815-356-3620. Those who would like to send an anonymous text can text the word "CLPDTIP" along with tip information to 847411 (tip411).
