Man Accused Of Starting Campaign Signs On Fire Faces New Charges

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 22-year-old Crystal Lake man who is awaiting trial in McHenry County for accusations he started primary election campaign signs on fire faces new charges after he allegedly broke a correction officer's nose. according to Shaw Media.
Frank B. X. Held, of the 7500 block of Fox Fire Drive, is accused of punching three people in the face while at The Cottage, 6 E. Crystal Lake Ave., on Sept. 3, and then punched a corrections officer at the McHenry County Jail, according to Shaw Media.
Held is awaiting trial on separate charges stemming from an incident that happened on the morning of June 28, 2022, which was the day of the primary election. He is accused of starting a fire at Veterans Acres Park, 431 N. Walkup, faces charges related to that incident, including, two counts of aggravated battery to police officer, resisting or obstructing a police officer, criminal damage to government property and criminal trespassing to state land.
