Man Dies After Falling Into Water At Main Beach

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A 59-year-old Crystal Lake man died after falling face first into the water at Main Beach Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 2 p.m. and a bystander was able to pull the man from the water, the Daily Herald reports.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later, according to media reports.

It does not appear the death is suspicious in nature. Crystal Lake Park District Police Chief Daniel Dziewior Jr. told the Northwest Herald it appears the death was medical related.
