Man Killed in Crash Outside His Home
The accident happened near Ringwood Thursday night.

A man was killed Thursday night after fire officials believe he was going to check his mail outside his home in Ringwood and was struck by a motorcycle, according to the Northwest Herald.
Two people on the motorcycle told McHenry Township Fire Protection District officials they believe they struck a deer, the newspaper reports. The crash occurred near Pioneer and Ringwood roads near Ringwood around 8:40 p.m.

The McHenry County Coroner’s Office is not releasing anymore information Friday morning regarding the identity of the man until identification and notification of all next of kin and autopsy examinations are completed.
