Man Sentenced To 50 Years For Sex Assault Of Child
The former Crystal Lake man was found guilty of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child in October.

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A former Crystal Lake man has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child for over a decade, prosecutors said. Arturo Hernandez-Pedraza, 42, is charged with three counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child, four counts of criminal sexual assault, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and three counts of sexual relations with families, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office.
Arturo Hernandez-Pedraza was found guilty in October.
Hernandez-Pedraza had sexual contact with the victim for over 13 years, according the the state's attorney's office. He must serve 45 years of his sentence and will be required to register for life under the Sex Offender Registration Act upon release from custody.
