Marengo Man Struck, Killed By Car In Marengo

He was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The death is being investigated.

From McHenry County: McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Anne Majewski, announced this afternoon that her office is investigating the death of a pedestrian killed yesterday evening, October 22, 2017 in Marengo, Illinois. The pedestrian, Jaime L. Campuzano, age 31, of Marengo, Illinois, Was Crossing Telegraph Street (Route 176) at Prospect Street in Marengo when he was struck by a car travelling east on Route 176. The 911 call Went out around 6:21 pm with Marengo Fire and Rescue responding. Mr. Campuzano was pronounced dead at the Scene at 6:44 pm.

An autopsy will be performed tomorrow morning in the McHenry Coroner's Office to determine cause of death. The death remains under investigation by the Marengo Police Department and the McHenry County Coroner's Office.
