MCCD Offers Playtime In Woods, Other Spring Programs
And most of the programs are free.

CRYSTAL LAKE-CARY, IL - From McHenry County Conservation District: McHenry County Conservation District’s spring program offerings are loaded with both indoor and outdoor nature enthusiast adventures. Explore nature through the In My World Series, witness the Dance of the Woodcock, or drop-in for a Bird Walk. People of all ages will enjoy getting outdoors to discover hiking opportunities, hearing nature tales, going on a treasure hunt, or celebrating The Changing Views of Prairieview through a new interactive exhibit and hiking app tour. Back again are popular programs such as: Playtime in the Woods and Glacial Park Team Challenge. There is something for everyone! Most programs are free.

Registration opens for County residents on February 10, Non-residents February 20. Register online, by phone (free programs only) at (815) 479-5779, by mail and walk-in at Prairieview Education Center, 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake, or drop-off only at Lost Valley Visitor Center, Route 31 and Harts Rd. in Ringwood.
