McHenry Man, 2 Others Charged In Home Invasion

The men are accused of forcing their way into an Elgin home early Sunday.

ELGIN, IL – Three men have been charged in connection with a home invasion that occurred early Sunday in Elgin. The suspects forced their way into a residence in the 600 block of Oakland Avenue at about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, according to a post on the Elgin Police Department Facebook page. Police said the men confronted residents of the home, who knew the suspects.

Police said one of the men, Lukasz Naurecki, 31, of the 2000 block of Kennedy Drive in McHenry, was armed with a handgun, while another man, Pawel Naureci, 25, of the 800 block of West Seneca Trail in Round Lake Heights, was armed with a knife, according to police.

A third suspect, Oscar Landa, 31, of the 300 block of Illinois Avenue in Elgin, was not armed, police said.

After struggling with the homeowners, all three men left the home. They did not take anything from the residence, according to the Facebook post.

A homeowner was injured but did not require immediate medical attention, police said.

The three accused in the home invasion now face charges and were expected in bond court on Monday. Naurecki has been charged with home invasion with a firearm, a class X felony; home invasion causing injury, a class X felony; and trespassing to a residence, a class 4 felony. Naurecki was charged with home invasion with a dangerous weapon, a class X felony; and trespassing to residence, a class 4 felony. Landa has been charged with trespassing to a residence, a class 4 felony.
