Mom of Teen ‘Severely Injured’ During Incident on Batavia Stage Sues Cary Theater Company
The incident occurred during a performance of Aladdin at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre.

BATAVIA, IL - The mother of a 15-year-old girl who “was severely and permanently injured” during a February 2015 performance in Batavia is suing Spotlight Theater Company in Cary, the Kane County Chronicle reports.
The girl hit her head on a low spotlight while taking part in the production of Aladdin at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, 1339 W. Wilson St. in Batavia. The lawsuit seeks $50,000 and cites disability, disfigurement and anguish.
