Music Instructor Accused of Sexually Abusing Girl

The private instructor who taught in Crystal Lake now faces charges.

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL – A man who taught private cello lessons in Crystal Lake is accused of inappropriately touching a girl on several occasions, the Northwest Herald reports. Kenneth Y. Kang, of the 2300 block of North Mosley Court in Palatine, is charged with four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, according to online court records.

The Northwest Herald reports it is unclear if Kang, who worked at the McHenry County Youth Orchestra and Academy, sexually assaulted any of his students.

Kang is next expected in court on Dec. 17.
