Fresh Thyme Farmer’s Market will soon be coming to town with plans to open its sixth suburban location this fall.

The grocery store, which specializes in fresh, health and local food, is slated host its grand-opening in mid-October, according to information published in the August Crystal Lake newsletter. Fresh Thyme will open its 29,000-sqaure foot store at the former Dominick’s at 5340 U.S. 14 in Crystal Lake, according to Crain’s Chicago Business.

Fresh Thyme sells fresh fruits and vegetables, much of which is locally grown and organic; natural meat, which is raised without hormones; seafood that is flown in daily; locally roasted coffee beans and more.

The grocer currently has locations in Deerfield and Mount Prospect with plans to open in Naperville, Downers Grove and Joliet in 2015.

“Fresh Thyme’s grand openings are known for their family-friendly atmosphere, children’s activities, entertainment and an exciting opening day experience,” according to the newsletter.
