No Injuries In Weekend House Fire In Johnsburg
The blaze caused about $10,000 in damages to the attached garage of a single-family home in Johnsburg.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — No one was injured in a house fire that broke out at a single-family home in Johnsburg Saturday afternoon, fire officials said. Authorities first at the scene of the blaze in the 4800 block of Promontory Lane found smoke coming from the attic of an attached garage, according to a news release from the McHenry Township Fire Protection District.
Firefighters put the blaze out within 10 minutes of arriving at the scene, fire officials said. The blaze caused an estimated $10,000 in damages to the garage but did not spread to the home, which is still habitable.
The cause of the fire is believed to be unintentional and remains under investigation, according to the news release.
