• 'Dividing our community': District 47 proposed boundary changes prompt public outcry (shawlocal.com) — Crystal Lake District 47 families are pushing back against proposed elementary boundary and attendance changes that could separate siblings and centralize dual-language students in one Coventry Elementary "academy." The district says reconfiguration is needed to balance north–south enrollment and might cut 17 staff positions through attrition, with a final board vote expected in November and a community survey coming next month.
