Patricia Reynolds Schieler, 59, of Crystal Lake

Patricia Reynolds Schieler, 59, of Crystal Lake and formerly of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, after a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.

She was born January 20, 1953 in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Maurine Ward Reynolds and William Lerond Reynolds.

A 1970 graduate of Caverna High School, she studied music at the University of Kentucky and received her masters in music education from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She was a loving wife and mother, and inspired many who knew her.  She enjoyed horticulture, music, genealogy, and reading, and was an active member of her church community.

She is survived by her husband George Schieler and her daughter Amanda Schieler, both of Crystal Lake. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Mitchel) Hatcher of Cave City, KY, and Melinda Reynolds (Tinker Bray) of Glasgow, KY; two nieces, Carol (Chris) Parsley of Cave City, KY, and Sherri (Billy) Stover of Shelbyville, KY; three step-sons, Glenn (Cathy) Schieler, and Paul and Richard Schieler; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Michael Kuscevich.

The visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Route 176, Crystal Lake. The memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22 at Ridgefield Crystal Lake Presbyterian Church, 8505 Church St., Ridgefield.

Burial and a brief graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26 at Cave City Cemetery, Cave City, Ken. All are welcome.
