Person Struck, Killed by Metra Train Near Woodstock
The incident is under investigation.
WOODSTOCK, IL - A person was struck and killed by a Metra train near Woodstock Thursday afternoon.
The Woodstock Police Department and the McHenry County Coroner’s Office are investigating the fatality, which occurred when an inbound Metra train on the Union Pacific Northwest line struck a pedestrian about two miles south of the Woodstock station.
The incident occurred around 2 p.m., according to Metra officials.
