Prairie Street To Close At Railroad Crossing For Rehab Work

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL -- Union Pacific is scheduling a temporary road closure at the railroad crossing on Prairie Street. The anticipated dates of the closure are from 8 a.m. on July 28 until 5 p.m. on Aug. 4, according to a city of Crystal Lake news release. Construction activities will include crossing rehabilitation.

This closure is necessary to ensure continued safety along the Metra Northwest Line, according to city officials. Union Pacific was expected to post advanced warning signs one week prior to closure.
