Puppy Abandoned in Pillowcase Up for Adoption
The puppy is doing well at Hoof, Woof and Meow Animal Rescue in Gilberts. Woodstock police are investigating the animal rescue case.
A puppy is up for adoption through a McHenry County animal rescue shelter after the young pup was placed in a pillowcase secured with duct tape and abandoned along Route 14 last week, the Northwest Herald reports.
An instructor at McHenry County College spotted the pillowcase moving while enroute to the college and found the puppy, which is believed to be a boxer or mixed breed between 4 and 6 weeks old, inside, according to the article.

The man was driving a motorcycle at the time and took the dog to work with him before contacting Hoof, Woof & Meow Animal Rescue in Gilberts who then contacted police, according to the Chicago Tribune. Woodstock Police are investigating the animal cruelty case.
