“There’s no other cable park like this. This is bringing a new activity to Crystal Lake,” Elisabeth Landt told the Northwest Herald. Landt and partner Angie Rinn will run the cable wakeboard park.
Those interested in wakeboarding at The Quarry will be pulled along a cable system. The Northwest Herald explains the setup:
The systems, built by German company SesiTec, pull riders along at between 18 and 21 mph, Landt said.
The park will feature two basic courses and an advanced one – the advanced course features six towers that will pull up to 10 riders at a time along a course of jumps and other features. All riders will have to wear helmets and U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets.
