Remodeling Project Underway at Snap Fitness in Crystal Lake

The Snap Fitness in Crystal Lake will be getting “some TLC” after Crystal Lake resident Rae Ann Metz recently bought the 24/7 gym located at 450 S. Route 31, the Northwest Herald reports. A remodeling project currently underway at the gym is meant to give the Snap Fitness a more modern look and Metz told the newspaper she has also been focused on highlighting to customers how weight-bearing exercises can help the aging process.

The only other 24/7 gym in Crystal Lake, Superior Health Club, closed in early November, the Northwest Herald reports.

But, a new Planet Fitness, which is another health club franchise that is open around the clock, is slated to come to town this spring. The gym will be located in a 20,000-square-foot space next to the recently-opened Fresh Thyme Farmers Market on Route 14, according to an earlier article on the Northwest Herald.
