Sessions Schedule Released for tomorrow's Naval Wars in Woodstock
Miniature naval combat at Woodstock's Ethereal Confections offers 13 historically-based scenarios to choose from in two sessons.
Commanders, Commodores, Admirals and Captains will engage the enemy with a choice of six historically-based naval combat scenarios (in miniature) tomorrow, Sunday, July 14, at Ethereal Confections, 140 Cass Street, Woodstock, IL.
The naval action continues in the afternoon with seven scenarios. Players will have a chance to test their skills in naval action played with a variety of rule sets. But, for those who are new to miniature naval combat, plenty of help is at hand and no one is thrown overboard.
The action begins at 0900 (9 a.m.). The afternoon session begins at 1400 (2 p.m.).

The miniature naval combat is similar to wargames played at the Naval War College in Newport, RI. While it is more involved than the old Milton-Bradley "Battleship" game, inexperienced players receive all the help they need to test their tactical skills in actions on the high seas and other waters.
Ethereal Confections, 140 Cass Street, Woodstock, is the site of the action with most of the games played upstairs. Additional games will be played at MD Trains, several stores to the east of Ethereal. Ethereal is famous for its bean-to-bar chocolate, coffees, teas, and assorted food menu as well beer, wine and mixed drinks.
