Sex Abuse Charge; DUI, Battery Arrests: Crystal Lake Blotter
A look at recent arrests made by the Crystal Lake Police Department.
CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The following information comes from the Crystal Lake Police Department as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the McHenry County Clerk of the Circuit Court.
Every person arrested is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
Andrew William Wiese, of Patterson, New York, was arrested on Aug. 29 and charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse, traveling to meet a minor and child pornography. Wiese's bail was set at $25,000, according to online court records. He is next expected in court on Oct. 2 for a preliminary hearing.

Arnie Alan Blass, 26, of the 0 to 100 block of Francis Avenue in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 5 on a warrant out of McHenry County on a traffic offense. He is next expected in court on Sept. 24.
Ben M. Albor, 59, of the 3000 block of Grove Lane, was arrested on Sept. 5 and charged with aggravated DUI, resisting/obstructing a peace officer, DUI/alcohol and leaving the scene of an accident. His bail was set at $3,000 and he is next expected in court for an arraignment on Oct. 16, according to online court records.

Christopher Allen Moyes, 59, of the 100 block of S. Virginia St. in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 6 and charged with assault, aggravated battery of a peace officer and disorderly conduct. His bail was set at $1,500 and he is next expected in court on Oct. 23 for an arraignment
Justin Edward Dean, 28, of the 6900 block of Seminiole Drive in Wonder Lake, was arrested on Sept. 9 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and a warrant out of McHenry County for DUI-alcohol, criminal damage to property and resisting. A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Sept. 29.
Sarah Elizabeth Alich, 35, of the 1800 block of Ashford Lane in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 12 and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing justice, aggravated DUI/suspension of a revoked driver's license for DUI and driving on a suspended license.
Peggy L. Powers, 59, of the 400 block of Kelly Lane in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with disorderly conduct. Powers was later released and is expected in court on Oct. 6.
John David Secunda, 29, of the 400 block of Buckingham Drive in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with criminal trespass to vehicle. Secunda was later released and is next expected in court on Oct. 20.
Ahmed Hussain Akhtar, 30, of the 7000 block of N. Paulina St. in Chicago, was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $3,000 and he is next expected in court on Oct. 22.
Erin Bradley Pollock Santos, 18, was arrested on Sept. 13 in the 1700 block of Andover Lane in Crystal Lake and charged with domestic battery/bodily harm and domestic battery/physical contact. Santos was turned over the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
Jessica L. Nunez, 27, of the 200 block of Elmhurst St. in Crystal Lake, was arrested on Sept. 15, and charged with endangering the life/health of a child. Nunez is next expected in court on Oct. 13.
