Sex Offender Now Faces Child Porn Charges

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — A registered sex offender now faces additional possession of child pornography charges, authorities said Wednesday. Andrew J. Looman, of the 4000 block of Fox Trail in Crystal Lake, was taken into custody in the 9100 block of Trinity Drive in Lake in the Hills at about 1:15 p.m. on June 2. In addition, Looman, 32, was suspected of violating his parole by possessing various unregistered electronic devices.

Looman has been charged with duty to register, a Class 3 felony; and eight counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 3 felony. He is being held on a $50,000 bond at the McHenry County Jail and is next expected in court on June 19.
