Thomas "Tommy" Thompson, 80, of Boynton Beach, and formerly of Cary, passed away Jan. 22, 2013.
He was born May 23, 1932, in Chicago to Henry and Margaret Thompson. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
He worked for over 30 years as a salesman for Salerno Cookies. Tommy lived in the Cary and Crystal Lake area until 2001 when he retired to Florida. In his free time he enjoyed gambling, the Florida sunshine, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children, Michael (Chris) Thompson, Glenn (Monika) Thompson, Debra (Josh) St. John, and Brenda Thompson; his grandchildren, Cameron St. John, and Marlayna, Rylan, and Eastyn Thompson; and his sister, Eileen (Robert) Wallace.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Route 176, Crystal Lake. Military honors and a time of eulogies will be held at 5 p.m.
