Three Oaks Beach Opening Delayed

CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The opening of the Three Oaks Recreation Area beach will be pushed back, city officials said. Since Gov. J.B. Pritzker's stay at home order is in place through the end of the month, the May 23 opening will need to be delayed.

The marina will also remain closed until further notice, according to the city of Crystal Lake's e-newsletter.

The park, at 5617 Northwest Highway in Crystal Lake, remains open from 6:30 a.m. until sunset daily with access available to the walking trails. Patrons are asked to follow safe social distancing while walking on the paths, city officials said.
