CRYSTAL LAKE, IL — The swim beach, splash pad and playground at Three Oaks Recreation Area will open on Monday, city officials announced Thursday. Special guidelines will be in place, including a limit on the number of people allowed in the area of the beach, splash pad and playground, once the amenities open back up on July 6, according to information posted on the city of Crystal Lake website.

In addition, boat rental operations will continue within the Lake House beach area. Those stopping out to the beach located within the Three Oaks Recreation Area will be able to access the area on a first-come, first-served basis and a maximum of 50 people will be allowed. Wait times may increase due to reduced capacity, according to city officials.

The beach will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. starting on July 6 and continuing through July 31. Crystal Lake residents do not pay a fee for the beach and non-residents will be charged $5 per person.
