McHenry VFW Queen of Hearts Jackpot Reaches $3.3 Million

Area residents will again get to try winning big by purchasing a Queen of Hearts ticket prior to the Tuesday night drawing.

MCHENRY, IL – The excitement will continue on Tuesday, Aug. 7, in McHenry. The jackpot for the McHenry VFW Post 4600 Queen of Hearts, which stood at $2.92 million during Tuesday's drawing, will roll over again with 13 cards remaining. The jackpot for this week’s drawing will be $3.3 million.

The jackpot is believed to be the largest VFW Queen of Hearts purse in Illinois history, the Daily Herald reports.

A ticket purchased by Linda J. was selected as crowds packed the VFW post building at 3002 W. Route 120 in McHenry last Tuesday night. Linda, who was not in attendance, picked card number 18, which revealed the king of spades. Those who purchase tickets do not need to be present to win.
