Village Of Cary: Village Of Cary Accepts $500,000. Donation From The Community Foundation

The Village of Cary approved the acceptance of a $500,000 donation from The Community Foundation for McHenry County at the September 21, 2021 Village Board meeting. The donation was made possible through the generosity of Greg and Dana Gliniecki, residents of the Village of Cary, who strongly support the future vision of the Village. The donation will be utilized for multiple projects in the Village's 5-year Capital Improvement Program, including:  

 "The Village is grateful for the tremendous generosity of the Glinieckis and The Community Foundation for McHenry County. It is truly humbling to receive such an incredible gift and to know that the Glinieckis believe in the Village's vision." Mayor Kownick stated.  Mayor Kownick emphasized the importance of The Foundation in helping to secure the donation. "This donation would not have happened without assistance from The Community Foundation for McHenry County. We greatly appreciate our partnership with The Foundation and look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with them for the betterment of the Village of Cary and McHenry County." Mayor Kownick added.

 "The generosity of the Glinieckis will improve the lives of the current residents of Cary, and their children and grandchildren. We are honored to work alongside the Village and are eager to watch their 5-year plan unfold before our eyes," Executive Director Deborah Thielen added.

 The Village Plans to purchase the Police Department drone this current fiscal year. Construction for other projects will begin next fiscal year.  "We are excited to begin these projects, which will only enhance our already great community," continued Mayor Kownick.
