Volunteer Lead Mentor Opportunity
ChatterGirls is seeking a volunteer Lead Mentor to assist with building self-esteem for girls ages 8-14.
The Lead Mentor position is a volunteer opportunity for an individual interested in facilitating a ChatterGirls session.
Lead Mentor Responsibilities:
• To build and encourage the growth of improved confidence and self-esteem in girls ages 8-14 years old who attend ChatterGirls.
• Attend training sessions- either one on one or group format.
• The Lead Mentor will lead one session per week over the course of a 5 week ChatterGirls session. (10 hours over 5 weeks, plus travel and preparation)
• A minimum of a one year commitment is requested.
• A script and supplies will be provided.
Qualifications:
• Interested Lead Mentor candidates need to have a background in education, counseling or extensive experience in the human services field. Candidates must also have a dependable vehicle and speak fluent English.
• The volunteer should have the ability to relate to youth and be sensitive to current issues and be aware of trends amongst the 8-14 year old female demographic.

Location:
• ChatterGirls is based in Crystal Lake, IL.
• This is a mobile program and will be offered at various park districts, camps and parent-sponsored locations. The majority of programs will be based in the Crystal Lake office.
