Woman Dead, Man In Critical, Girl Injured In Crash
A car collided with two motorcycles on South River Road in Holiday Hills Wednesday night, authorities said.
MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A 56-year-old McHenry woman is dead, a 65-year-old McHenry man is in critical condition and a 9-year-old girl was seriously injured after a car collided with two motorcycles on South River Road in Holiday Hills Wednesday night, authorities said. The 2017 Acura TLX was headed north on South River Road north of Sunset Drive at 7:26 p.m. when it drove into the southbound lane of traffic and struck a 2003 Harley-Davidson FLSTF Flat Boy Motorcycle and a 2005 Harley-Davidson Trike, according to a news release from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office.
The driver of the 2005 Harley-Davidson, a 56-year-old McHenry woman, was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center by ambulance where she was later pronounced dead, according to the news release. A rider on her motorcycle, a 9-year-old girl who is from Louisiana, was taken by ambulance to Northwestern Hospital in McHenry with serious injuries.
The driver of the 2003 Harley-Davidson, a 65-year-old McHenry man, was taken by helicopter to Advocate Condell Medical Center where he remains in critical conditions, authorities said Thursday afternoon.
